100 year old Photos #17 - Australian Bush
Australian Bush again - this time a Bullock team and dray team. The bullock team are on a break and enjoying food from nose bags, which was common practice in the 1900's. These bags were often tied/attached to the animal to stop them losing the bag and ensure that less cut feed was lost. These photos were taken approximately c1900, perhaps just after. The horses are chained together and pulling a rather heavy log through a water way.
